Shift times may vary depending on operational requirements, making flexibility and availability key to success in the role.From November, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to step into a period of full-time hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm) for approximately 6–8 months,
providing support during a maternity leave period.The role combines driving duties with hands-on fleet support activities, working closely with the existing transport team to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable service.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the transportation of Defence personnel to appointments and designated locations (from November)Support daily transport operations and vehicle movementsDrive Defence fleet vehicles as requiredPrepare vehicles for use by maintaining presentation and cleanliness standardsTransport vehicles to and from servicing, repairs, and maintenance appointmentsConduct routine vehicle inspections and operational checksAssist with minor vehicle maintenance activitiesComplete mail collection, sorting, and delivery between Defence locationsMaintain transport records and complete required documentationFollow all safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptlyAbout YouYou are a dependable and safety-focused driver who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
You bring a flexible approach to work and can adapt to changing operational requirements.To be successful, you will have:A current Australian Driver Licence (minimum Class C)Driver Accreditation, or the ability to obtain it before commencementPrevious driving experience in transport, logistics, fleet services,
