Walcha Council is seeking aWater and Wastewater Operator.
This position is required to carry out a variety of tasks associated with the efficient and economical operation of Council's Water and Wastewater systems.
This includes the treatment and reticulation of town water, the collection and treatment of domestic sewerage, and trade waste for the Walcha Community.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with the maintenance of the water reticulation system including reservoirs and off-creek storageAssist with the maintenance of the water collection station including pump stationsUndertake water meter readings for the Walcha CommunityUndertake water and wastewater sample tests in accordance with legislative guidelinesAccurately complete and maintain administrative records in accordance with corporate record keeping and operational requirementsWhat You'll BringDemonstrated knowledge of water reticulation systems; including maintenance, testing and operations.Demonstrated experience in Water and Wastewater operations,



or similarDemonstrated commitment to working safely and follow safe systems of workCertificate III in Water operations (desirable)Class C drivers licenseWHS General Construction Induction CardEnter and work in confined spacesAbility to meet the physical requirements of the positionWhat We OfferThis is a Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week) starting at $1,****** (gross) + superannuation per week based on Band 1 Level 4, Grade 3 of the Local Government (State) Award ****.
