Experienced Civil Leading HandCarlton Contracting Kwinana Pty Ltd is a well-established civil earthworks and maintenance contractor servicing major industrial clients throughout the Kwinana Strip.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent prospect for a motivated leader who enjoys working in a hands-on role while supervising crews to safely deliver high-quality civil and maintenance works.
About the RoleAs a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for leading a small team on a variety of civil construction and maintenance projects across industrial sites.
You will work closely with supervisors and project managers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise crews on site.
Coordinate daily work activities and allocate tasks.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and client procedures.
Operate plant and equipment where required.
Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
Complete daily paperwork, pre-starts and site documentation.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and quality workmanship.
Mentor and support team members.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will have:
Previous experience as a Leading Hand or similar supervisory role.




Extensive experience in civil earthworks and maintenance.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Current White Card.
Relevant plant operating tickets and licences.
Ability to work across multiple industrial sites.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol testing.
