Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 30 July ****Position Classification: Dietitian Level 3Remuneration: $116,892 - $120,680 per annum plus SuperannuationHours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: REQ******Application Close: 8 June ****REQ****** - Senior Clinical Dietitian - Level 3The RoleWe are now seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic dietitian with high level clinical skills to join our team, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at St George Hospital.
This is a senior dietitian position based at St George Hospital and will include inpatient and outpatient workloads across a range of clinical areas.
The ideal candidate will have extensive post graduate clinical experience, including experience managing patients with complex nutrition requirements within an acute hospital setting.
Where you'll be workingThe St George Hospital and Health Services is part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
It is an accredited, principal teaching hospital of the University of New South Wales and is not only the largest hospital within the Local Health District, but is among the leading centres for trauma and emergency management in the State.
The hospital's areas of special expertise also include cancer services, critical care, gastrointestinal and cardiothoracic surgery and women's and children's health care.The hospital is currently undergoing redevelopment and in April opened a new Kensington Street Building (KSB), bringing together a range of day only, ambulatory and outpatient services along with three levels of inpatient beds.
The KSB includes our brand new Allied Health staff hub where we enjoy district views from our department and staff balcony, new meeting facilities along with a floor dedicated to Allied Health outpatient services.

What you'll be doingYour focus will be on providing quality person centred nutrition care.
As a senior dietitian in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics you will be actively involved in quality improvement, service development activities and the clinical supervision of junior staff and students.Plan, coordinate,



and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within Nutrition and Dietetics in order to provide high quality Dietetic care to patients consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is 'exceptional care, healthier lives'.

Selection CriteriaQualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) AwardExtensive post graduate clinical experience in Nutrition and DieteticsExcellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levelsAbility to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staffAbility to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical natureAbility to initiate, lead,
