Calder Care Services are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Psychosocial Support Workers to join our team to support participants in areas such as Caroline Springs, Melton, Werribee and other surrounding suburbs.
In this casual role, you will play a vital part in providing personalised care and support to individuals with mental health conditions, empowering them to live independently and actively participate in their communities.
What you'll be doing
Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
Provide emotional support and build positive/professional relationships with clients
Facilitate social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to promote client wellbeing
Advocate for client needs and liaise with healthcare professionals and support networks
Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and safety standards
What we're looking for
Experience in mental health, disability, or aged care support work
A genuine passion for supporting individuals with mental health conditions
Ability to work with behaviours of concern and also have the ability to adhere to and understand a mental health safety plan.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must speak clear English.
Flexible availability to suit the clients needs (we are also very flexible with work life balance and staff commitments, although expect consistency with availability)

and empathetic nature
Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (CHC*****), Certificate IV in Mental Health (CHC*****), Diploma of Mental Health (CHC*****) or equivalent
Experience in trauma informed-care is highly desired
Current First Aid and CPR certification
A valid driver's license and access to a reliable & insured vehicle
Must hold an NDIS Workers Screening Check
A valid Victorian Police Check (will accept validity within past 3 years)
Must hold a valid Working with Children's check (employment type)
