This position is classified as PACS Band 6 ($***** – $***** per
hour) under the City of Kwinana's structured remuneration
system.

exists to step into a hands on leadership role, where you will
guide a dedicated team of horticulturalists in the establishment,
maintenance and management of parks, reserves and open spaces
across the community.
Working within the City Parks and Garden
team, you will play a key role in enhancing the presentation and
quality of public spaces, while fostering a collaborative,
supportive and high performing team environment.
The position offers both variety and responsibility, combining
leadership with practical outdoor work.

What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role
you will need:
Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or equivalent
Comprehensive knowledge and considerable practical
experience in Parks, Gardens and Turf maintenance including
landscape development
Experience in safe operation and user maintenance of
mechanical plant and equipment
Sound knowledge and understanding of Workplace Safety and
Health requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead, give direction, provide
guidance and interact with team members
Well developed interpersonal, communication and literacy
skills
Well developed negotiating and problem solving skills
Possession of Medium Rigid (MR) motor vehicle licence,
Basic Worksite Traffic Management, Safety Awareness Training –
White Card and Provide First Aid
Please note the hours of work for this position are 7:00am -
4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00am - 3:45pm Friday.
