We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.About the roleThis positionis responsible forthe day of service activities including arriving anddepartingpatient appointments and managing clinic outcomes,prioritisingnew and review appointment scheduling, wait list management and rebooking cancellations; managing patient enquiries from a variety of sources such as email,SMSand callcentre.Clerical staff provide customer service, clerical and reception related duties that strive to achieveoptimalpatient outcomes, adheres to the code of conduct, policies and procedures,valuesand goals of Eastern Health.Multiple opportunities existin Specialist Clinicsacross allcampus'for a passionate and enthusiasticclerical staff member.Eastern Health Acute Specialist Clinicsarea busy department of the hospital, meeting the needs of patients from the community byprovidinga range of specialist services.
Approximately ******* occasions of service are provided annually.
These include new patients referredfromthe community,



review appointments for ongoing care and post admission follow up from Eastern Health's network of hospitals.Clerical staff area highly regarded memberof the multidisciplinary team that ensure Specialist Clinics functions well.
Services offered inSpecialist Clinicsinclude,Orthopaedics, Plastics, General Medical, Surgery, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Respiratory, Liver, andPaediatrics.About youTo be successful in this role you willpossess:Year 10 level Englishwritten and spokenKnowledge ofpatient management systems (iPM, CPF, EMR)Computer competent inMicrosoftWord,Outlookand ExcelAdvancedtelephone skills and clericalskillsAbility toprovide quality customer service in a friendly and professional manner to supporthigh qualitypatientcentredcareExcellent communication andorganisationalskillsThe ability to work as partof a diverse teamPlease refer to the attached position description for further details of the role.Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
