Maclean Golf Club is seeking a motivated and reliable ApprenticeGreenkeeper to join our small, dedicated team.Our course features a championship 18-hole golf course and is quicklybecoming renowned as one of the best courses in the Northern Riversdrawing visitors from all over the country.As we are a small team, you'll have the prospect to be involved inevery aspect of course and turf management - from mowing and irrigationto renovations and equipment maintenance.No two days are the same, and you'll quickly build a wide range ofpractical skills.
The role is a minimum of 38 hours a week with someweekend work.
Day lengths roster according to availability of the courseand maintenance programs.What You'll Learn and DoMaintain and prepare the golf course to a high standard Operate, service, and care for turf maintenance machineryAssist with irrigation, fertilising, and pest management Help with course setup, turf renovation, and improvement projectsGain a thorough, hands-on understanding of sports turf managementWhat We're Looking ForA genuine interest in outdoor, hands-on workPositive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable, punctual,



and takes pride in their workEnjoys being part of a small, friendly team Current driver's licence and must have transport to and from work.Someone who doesn't mind early starts and early finishes.
Someone prepared to work early morning Saturday work, when rostered.What We OfferA full-time apprenticeship leading to a Certificate III in SportsTurf Management On-the-job mentoring from experienced staffSupport for your TAFE studies Variety in your day - you'll get to do a bit of everythingA friendly and supportive community club environmentTAFETAFE is in Brisbane over 3 blocks a year.
These are 4 to 5 days induration each.Attendance to TAFE is a mandatory part of the role.
Travel and expenses as per the award will be provided to attendTAFE.
* Accommodation will be provided by the club to attend TAFE.
Where theapprentice wishes to be accompanied by a parent or guardian a twin roomwill be provided.Experience is not necessary as we provide the training and resources forour team members to excel.
