Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We're proud to bolster Australia's sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. With ongoing training programs and a team of over 500, our people have room to grow and develop an impactful career with us., * Examine drawings or specifications to determine material and equipment requirements
* Heat treat metal parts and components
* Set up and operate hand and machine tools, and equipment
* Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by bolting or riveting

About the Candidate
As a first-year apprentice, we'll expect you to bring the following skills and behaviours:
* Sound literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, at Heights and in Confined Spaces
* Hold a General Construction Induction card (White Card)
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITY
A Defence security clearance NV1 is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
