This is a full-time (38-hour/week) role, ideally based in Canberra but open to all locations in Australia.
This is a hybrid role, primarily based at a home office, with occasional in-office attendance in Canberra.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Commercial and Finance Manager plays an key role in ensuring timely, accurate and compliant commercial and financial operations.This dual-focused role will support both commercial and financial domains, working with multiple stakeholders and several executives with one direct report working directly to this manager level position.As a key member of our business support team, you will directly manage ADCG's commercial/contract activities and manage the finance team.
Duties will include developing, maintaining and updating a suite of commercial documents,



including a range of contracts and commercial agreements and include advising executives on the commercial considerations of entering into new agreements.
In the finance domain you will be responsible for managing and conducting finance administration and reporting.
You'll play an integral role in developing and updating processes, maintaining documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between business units including Finance, HR, and Marketing.Your day-to-day duties will include:Leading all commercial agreement and contract lines of effort, and advising the executive team on new commercial considerationsUpdating current documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), developing new documents and SOPs where requiredManagement of and support to end-to-end finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, invoicing, reconciliations, and accountingResponding to accounts enquiries, from both individual and corporate clientsMaintaining accurate financial data across accounting and CRM systemsMonitoring and following up outstanding invoices and paymentsSupervising and when required conducting month-end processes, reporting and financial record maintenance,



providing reports and briefing ExecutivesLeading the development and maintenance of finance procedures and SOP'sProvide general commercial, finance and administrative support to the broader ADCG teamManaging a small but growing team.Key Requirements:A current AGSVA security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one is essential.

Australian citizenship is a prerequisite for AGSVA security clearance sponsorship.Previous experience (ideally 5-10 years) in finance, accounts, or commercial (contract) officer roles, bringing a sound understanding of fundamental commercial (legal) and financial processesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalConfident using MS Office, CRM, payroll and accounting applicationsStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyProven organisational and time management skillsSought after but not required:Certificate IV or higher in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred but not requiredApplicants with backgrounds and experience in Commercial Law will be viewed more competitivelyApplicants with backgrounds and experience in Accounting will be viewed more competitivelyWhat We Offer:ADCG offers a competitive remuneration package that rewards achievement, and a energetic culture of work that rewards initiative and talent.
