About the role
Forks 4 U Pty Ltd is seeking a Parts Interpreter / Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis in Townsville, QLD.
This is a key position within our operation, responsible for accurately interpreting parts requirements, providing detailed estimates, and liaising with customers and technical teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and source genuine and aftermarket forklift parts.
Prepare accurate parts and labour estimates for repairs, servicing, and maintenance.
Process customer enquiries, quotations, and parts orders.
Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure required parts are available before repairs commence.
Monitor stock levels and place orders with suppliers to maintain inventory.
Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and update inventory records.
Issue parts to technicians and maintain accurate stock control.
Process invoices and purchase orders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with continuous improvement of inventory management and parts processes.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter, preferably in forklifts, material handling equipment, heavy machinery,



automotive, or industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical components and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read parts manuals, exploded diagrams, and technical documentation.
Experience preparing repair estimates and quotations.
Excellent computer skills, including inventory management systems.
Robust attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Current driver's licence essential.
Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
Willingness and ability to travel frequently between company branches is essential.
