We are known for our long-term client relationships, practical delivery approach, experienced field crews and self-perform capability.We are looking for a hands-on Civil Project Engineer to take a leading role in helping us bid, win and deliver council and water authority works.This role would suit someone who has worked for a civil contractor delivering projects for local councils, water authorities or similar infrastructure clients, and who enjoys being involved across both the front end and delivery stages of a project.You do not need to be a traditional "end-to-end" Project Manager.
We are looking for someone practical, commercially aware and capable of working closely with clients, estimators, supervisors, crews and subcontractors to help turn opportunities into well-delivered projects.About the roleThis is a hands-on role focused on minor civil works, council projects and water authority infrastructure projects.You will be involved in:Identifying and assessing suitable project opportunitiesAssisting with estimating, tender submissions and pricingReviewing scopes, drawings, specifications and site requirementsBuilding and maintaining relationships with council and water authority clientsSupporting project planning, procurement and resource coordinationWorking closely with supervisors, crews and subcontractors during deliveryMonitoring project costs, program, quality and safety requirementsHelping ensure projects are delivered practically, commercially and to client expectationsProjects may include drainage upgrades, culvert works, stormwater infrastructure, waterways, desilting, erosion control, wetlands,



environmental civil works and other local authority / water authority infrastructure works.Typical project values may range from smaller minor works through to projects around the $200k to $1M range.About youYou may currently be working as a:Civil EngineerJunior Project ManagerEstimator with civil delivery experienceSupervisor with strong technical / commercial capabilityIdeally, you will have experience working for a civil contractor delivering works for councils, water authorities or infrastructure clients.You will bring:Civil construction experience, ideally in water, drainage, council or minor worksAbility to read drawings, understand scopes and assess constructabilityExperience supporting project estimates, tenders or pricingStrong communication and client relationship skillsA practical, hands-on approach to solving project issuesConfidence working with supervisors, crews and subcontractorsCommercial awareness and attention to cost, program and scopeA genuine interest in helping grow a steady pipeline of repeat client workMost importantly, you will be someone who can build trust with clients, understand what needs to be delivered, and work with the team to get the job done properly.Why Jaydo?
