We design, deploy, and maintain robust data cabling and communication systems for commercial and enterprise clients.

Critical Requirement: You must possess direct experience working within a founder-led, scaling business.
You understand the unique dynamics, speed, and trust required to successfully align with a founder while scaling business infrastructure.
Mobility & Presence: You must be able to reliably attend our workshop/headquarters in the Geelong area and travel to various regional project sites as needed to coordinate teams and maintain operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities· Operational Strategy & Process Improvement: Drive the efficiency of day-to-day business operations and field activities.
Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) across project management, site safety, and quality control to enhance profitability.
· High-Level Project Planning & Coordination: Oversee and manage multiple data cabling and communications projects from start to finish.
Review technical plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Maintain a master schedule and strategically coordinate labor, subcontractors, and site activities.
· Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary operational contact and escalation point for clients,
and site managers.
Attend high-level site meetings, inspections, and progress updates to ensure exceptional satisfaction.
· Site Oversight & Resource Management: Oversee the installation of data cabling and communication systems.
Schedule, supervise, and mentor internal technicians and subcontractors, monitoring field productivity and resolving onsite delays or issues promptly.
· Supply Chain & Materials Coordination: Identify and forecast material requirements across all active projects.
Communicate procurement needs directly to the Director, track on-site inventory usage, flag potential shortages early, and align logistics delivery timing with project timelines.
· Quality, Compliance & Documentation: Enforce strict installation, testing, and labeling standards.
Manage test results, as-built documentation, defect tracking, and drive systematic closing of variations to assist in smooth project handovers.
· Financial & Administrative Oversight: Monitor operations budgets, individual project costs, and operational margins.
Assist with progress claims, verify contractor variations, and proactively mitigate commercial risks.

Skills & Key Requirements· Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager role, ideally within telecommunications, data cabling, construction, or a related technical field.
Industry experience is desired but not essential, if you are from outside of the industry but think you have all of the necessary skills, explain why you would be the best candidate in your cover letter!
· Founder-Led Agility:
Proven capability navigating and optimising a founder-led business during the current growth/scaling phase.
· Travel & Valid License: Ability to travel to regional sites and attend the Geelong workshop regularly; a valid driver's license is required.
· Leadership & Team Management: Competent in supervising, scheduling, and managing internal technical personnel and external subcontractors.
· System & Data Proficiency: Strong analytical mindset with experience utilising project scheduling software and tracking tool platforms to make data-driven decisions.
· Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, conflict resolution, time management, and relationship-building capabilities.
