About the opportunity This business is bringing something genuinely different to the Australian residential market.
Partnering with a leading, government-owned Chinese manufacturer with more than 40 years' manufacturing expertise, the company is introducing high-end, fully specified, flat-packed luxury homes to Australia.
These homes are designed with premium appliances and finishes, engineered for demanding conditions including cyclones and earthquakes, and can be delivered at approximately 20% below the cost of a comparable custom build in Australia. With robust interest already secured from established residential builders and property developers, this is a rare opportunity to step into a role with genuine momentum behind it — working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to help convert market demand into high-quality delivered projects.
The role As the Registered Builder - Client & Manufacturing Liaison, you will be the trusted technical and relationship link between the international manufacturing partner, the architect, and Australian builders, developers and clients.
You will use your building expertise, commercial credibility and communication skills to guide clients through a new build model, advise on compliance and quality, and ensure projects are delivered to the standard expected in the Australian market.
This role will include monthly travel to China for a few days at a time to visit the manufacturing facility, oversee quality standards and continue building a strong working relationship with the manufacturing partner.
Key responsibilities
Act as the primary technical liaison between the international manufacturing partner and Australian residential builders/developers.
Liaise with the architect on design, compliance and site-specific adaptations.
Review and advise on Australian building code and compliance requirements,
including NCC and relevant AS/NZS standards.

Support property developers and residential builders to integrate these homes into their existing land developments.
Oversee on-site delivery, assembly and quality assurance once homes arrive in Australia.
Represent the product with confidence to senior stakeholders, developers and builders.
About you You will be a highly credible, commercially minded builder who can walk into a room with developers and senior stakeholders and be immediately trusted.
You will ideally bring:
Current Registered Builder status in Western Australia.
Around 8-10 years' experience, ideally with a reputable Australian building company or through running your own successful building business.
(Building Agent | Word)

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Confidence working across cultures, time zones and international supplier relationships.
Willingness to travel to China monthly for short visits.
An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in helping shape a new offering in the Australian housing market.
Why join?
This is not a standard building role.
You will be joining at the early stage of a disruptive housing model with the backing of an established manufacturing partner, genuine market interest and the opportunity to help shape how the business grows in Australia. You will have autonomy, visibility with senior leadership, direct client exposure, and the chance to play a key role in bringing an innovative, cost-effective and premium housing solution to the Australian market.
