Jack's Creek has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Technical Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.
This role is based at our Breeza operation and will support the cattle side of our business.
Jack's Creek is a family-owned and operated mixed cropping and cattle enterprise located on the Liverpool Plains at Breeza, NSW.
We are committed to excellence in livestock production, innovation, and sustainable farming practices.
As a Technical Assistant, you will play a key role within the Jack's Creek team, working closely with the Background Operations Manager, Livestock Supervisor, and Background Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of our cattle operations.
You will also collaborate with the broader Jack's Creek team based at our Head Office in Tamworth.

The roles general duties consist of (but not limited to):
Maintain accurate livestock records
Update software systems; Livestock Management (Stockbooks) & Feed Management (BeefTracker)
Track, record and upload to Integrity Systems; livestock movements, deaths and tag replacements
Assist, coordinate, record and reconcile monthly vet inventory and supplies, chemical and commodity stocktakes
Assist in month-end reporting
Record (as per LPQA)
and order vet inventory and supplies
Update documentation as required by LPA programs
Assist in Livestock scheduling and performance monitoring
Update and complete training documentation
Act as primary liaison between Jack's Creek accounts team and farm
Provide administrative support to Background Operations Manager, Livestock Supervisor and Background Operations Coordinator
Undertake station hand duties as required by Background Operations Manager, Livestock Supervisor and Background Operations Coordinator
The successful applicant will have:
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Advanced computer skills (Office, Excel, Word)
Experience using Stockbook and BeefTracker or similar Livestock Management & Feed Management software is advantageous
LPA training modules
Effective time management and organisation skills
Ability to problem solve and make decisions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Self-motivated with a proactive and optimistic approach
Requirements:
Bachelor in agricultural science or similar qualification or relevant experience
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Chemical Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Driver's licence and willingness to provide a driver history
Be prepared to undergo a criminal background check
