Permanent/Part Time/Casual Opportunities.About The RoleThe Patient Services Assistant, Ancillary Assistant is responsible for ensuring a high standard of patient transport, restocking, and courier services, as well as maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout all areas of University Hospital Geelong.
The Ancillary Assistant is an integral member of the hospital team, assisting and supporting the nursing and clinical staff in various functions, including cleaning and housekeeping, transport and courier services, and Patient Support.These duties are done with patient welfare as the highest priority, ensuring safe practice in technique and infection control, respect and courtesy to staff, patients, and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high standards of cleaning, housekeeping, and linen management across wards and general hospital areasAssist with patient transport, equipment movement, and courier services, including specimens and patient recordsSupport ward operations by restocking consumables, filling water jugs, and assisting nursing staff with patient care tasksParticipate in emergency response activities, including Code Grey, Code Black,
