Casual Baker and Decorator - Altona North
The Cupcake Queens have amazing opportunities for experienced Bakers to join our dynamic (and fun!) baking team in the production of cupcakes supplying to our extensive Retail network.
This role is based at our bakery in Altona North.
We require a number of experienced bakers and decorators for shifts between 12pm and 11pm daily.
We have genuine flexibility with days and hours - in your cover letter please clearly state what availability you have.
Your duties will include:
Operating commercial mixing machines and equipment
Load and unload cupcakes and cakes into commercial baking oven
Ice and decorate cupcakes by hand using a piping bag
Operate commercial depositor and icing machines.
Complete quality assurance checks on orders and shop stock
Ensure all food preparation areas and bakery equipment is clean
To be successful in this role you will need to be a positive, friendly, proactive person, who is all about baking and icing the best cupcakes possible!
In addition,you will need to have:
Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
An ability to hand pipe and be proficient in using a piping bag efficiently




Minimum 1 year experience in baking OR kitchen workplace
Pastry and / or Chef qualifications are preferred BUT not essential
The ability to work in a fast paced team environment
Willingness to support other team members in a close knit environment
Sound knowledge of all aspects of food safety and hygiene
