About The Role
An opportunity exisits for a Moorditj Kulungar Playgroup
Assistant (50D) to join the Library Services team at the City of
Kwinana.
Reporting to the Playleader/Aborignal Support Worker, this
casual position is responsible for collaborating with the
Playleader/Aboriginal Support Worker to provide the Moorditj
Kulungar Playgroup with a culturally safe space to learn, grow and
connect.
About YouTo make an impact in this role, you
will have:
Ability to provide care for and engage with children.
Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills,
including the ability to effectively communicate with
stakeholders.
Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, and ability
to perform manual handling tasks safely.
Possession of current Provide First Aid certificate, or
willingness to obtain one.
Possession of current Working with Children Check, current
Drivers Licence, and National Police Clearance (less than 6
months old).
Understanding of early childhood development, including
health, safety, and nutritional needs (desirable).
Awareness of National Principles for Child Safe
Organisations (desirable).
Previous experience working within an Aboriginal community
(desirable).
