Operating from Jandakot and Ascot, our fleet of Learjet 35, King Air B200 and Beechcraft ****D aircraft delivers international and domestic medical air ambulance, air charter and cargo services.
We are seeking an experienced Quality & Safety Manager to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aviation quality and safety professional to play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement and fostering a strong safety culture across the business.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Accountable Manager, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring compliance with CASA regulations and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).
Develop and coordinate the annual internal audit schedule.
Manage CASA and other external audits, including responses, reporting and corrective actions.
Monitor the effectiveness and compliance of the QMS and SMS.
Maintain the Company's document management system (Novacore).
Ensure SMS processes are established, implemented and continually maintained.
Provide quality and safety advice to management, employees and contractors.
Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Liaise with CASA and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB)
on quality and safety matters.
Conduct incident and accident investigations as required.
Identify and coordinate ongoing safety training requirements.
Manage the Company's Emergency Response Plan, including annual testing and review.
Complete risk assessments and maintain the organisational risk register.
Deliver AIRMAESTRO reporting system training where required.
Facilitate regular safety meetings and report outcomes to the CEO.
Coordinate Quality and Safety induction training for new employees.
Support management in ensuring compliance with all applicable aviation regulations and company procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in a Quality and/or Safety Management role within the aviation industry.
Strong knowledge of CASA regulations and Safety Management Systems.
Experience managing internal and external audits.
Excellent investigation, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience developing policies, procedures and quality documentation.
The ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Experience with AIRMAESTRO and/or Novacore (highly regarded).
