Job location
Forensicare provides specialist forensic mental health services across13of Victoria's 15prisons.This position based atRavenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne's west, provides 75 prison-based custodial mental health beds as well as assessments and outpatient services provided in maximum-security forensic mental health complex within the medium-security prison.
About the Role:
JoinForensicare'sOutpatients Program at Ravenhall Correctional Centre as a Psychologist Grade 2, whereyou'llplay a vital role in delivering specialist forensic mental health care.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, intervention, and clinical management to men in custody,



supporting their mental health recovery and reducing reoffending risk.

Duties:
In this role, you will:
Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments (including psychometric and diagnostic assessments)
Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions toaddressthe mentalhealth needsofforensic clients
Contribute to risk assessment and risk management alongside the clinical team
Prepare clinical and court reports where required
Support case formulation, treatment planning and program development
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure integrated care
Maintain strong therapeutic relationships with consumers and stakeholders
About You:
Experience in mental health and/or forensic settings (highly regarded)
Robust clinical skills in mental health assessment, intervention and treatment
Knowledge of forensic assessment, risk assessment, and offender rehabilitation
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication skills, including report writing and court liaison
Commitment to consumer recovery and continuous professional development
What you need:
Hold general registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia(PsyBA).
