Your part in our Buderim Hospital team
Buderim Private Hospital isseekingmotivated,innovativeand passionate dual Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) to be part of our Special Care Nursery / Women's Health Team.
Contemporary knowledge of best practice in newborn nursing care isrequiredand extensive neonatal clinical experience preferred with a minimum 2years experiencein a similar levelspecial carenursery.
Appropriate post graduate qualifications notessential, buthighly regarded.
Buderim Private Special Care Nursery (SCN) is a level 4 Nursery and provides care for babies greater than 32 weeks and **** grams.
SCN supports maternity services at Buderim Private and patient transfers from tertiary health centres.
In this role, you willbe responsible forthe clinical management and delivery of care in a7 cotspecial carenursery.
Staffing levels will be dependent on patient occupancy and acuity.
Therefore,



the ability to work autonomously and independently is essential for low occupancy/acuity shifts.SCN is supported by the Clinical Nurse Manager, Maternity/Women's Health Ward Team and 24/7 available VMP.
What makes a difference for us?
Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery degrees with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
Recent experience in Special Care Nursery
CPAP and High Flow nasal oxygen
Assistingand preparing forstabilisationand retrieval including initiating ventilator care
PIVC and UVC Therapy (Including IV medications)
Phototherapy management
Ability to work autonomously within the SCN
Willingness to work outside of SCN in the Maternity postnatal/ antenatal and Women's Health ward environment as per staffing and patient needs
Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providinghigh standardsof patient care
Available to work across all shifts, AM/PM/Nights
Full Australian Working Rights (please note, we are unable to provide sponsorshipat this time)
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
