As a boutique consultancy, we provide our team with direct involvement in every stage of project delivery, from client meetings and site inspections through to performance-based design, stakeholder consultation and technical reporting.
About the Role Description
Evantis is seeking a motivatedGraduate / Fire Safety Consultantto join our Hobart office.
Working directly alongside the Director, you will gain exposure to a diverse range of projects while developing the technical knowledge, engineering judgement and professional capability required to become an independent Fire Safety Engineer.
This is a genuine mentoring chance where you'll be involved in every stage of project delivery from initial client discussions and site inspections through to engineering assessments, stakeholder consultation and final reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with fire engineering, bushfire and emergency management assessments.
Support the preparation of Performance Solutions, Fire Engineering Reports, Bushfire Hazard Reports and Emergency Management documentation.
Undertake site inspections and document existing building conditions.
Review architectural drawings, legislation, codes and Australian Standards.




Assist with fire and evacuation modelling.
Prepare technical reports, drawings and supporting documentation.
Participate in client, design team and authority meetings.
Contribute to the continued growth and development of the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Holds (or is close to completing) a degree in Mechanical, Fire or Structural Engineering.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Enjoys technical problem solving and analytical thinking.
Is organised, proactive and eager to learn.
Wants to build a long-term career in specialist fire engineering.
Previous fire engineering experience is welcomed but not essential.
Applications are encouraged from recent graduates through to candidates with approximately three years of relevant industry experience.
