Intermediate Tax Accountant - Public Practice
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded public practice accounting firm located in Balwyn.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Tax and Business Services Accountant to join their collaborative and professional team.

About the Role
Working closely with senior accountants and partners, your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Preparation of income tax returns
Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
Preparation of management reports
General tax compliance and client advisory work
Liaising directly with clients and the ATO
Assisting with tax planning and business advisory assignments
Maintaining strong client relationships while providing exceptional service
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
A minimum of 3 years' recent Australian Public Practice accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation
Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS.




Excellent communication and client relationship skills
High attention to detail and robust organisational skills
Strong experience using Xero is essential.
Experience using MYOB or similar public practice accounting software will be highly regarded
CPA or CA qualification (completed or currently studying) will be highly regarded

Essential Requirements
Minimum 3 years' recent Australian Public Practice accounting experience
Current unrestricted Australian working rights
Currently residing in Melbourne or surrounding suburbs
Ability to work from the Balwyn office
Strong experience using Xero
