Commissioning Electricians | 2:1 Roster | Central Queensland
Play a key role in bringing significant new mining and processing infrastructure to life.
CE Group is seeking experienced Commissioning Electricians to join the commissioning phase of a major mine redevelopment project in Central Queensland.
The project includes a new washplant, tailings processing facility, switchrooms and associated mine-services infrastructure.
Working alongside our commissioning engineers, supervisors, E&I; technicians and project leadership team, you will help safely transition newly installed electrical systems and process equipment from construction completion through to operational handover.

Key responsibilities
Complete pre-commissioning inspections, continuity, insulation-resistance, earth-continuity, point-to-point, loop and functional testing
Commission MCCs, switchboards, VSDs, motors, pumps and conveyors, including bump testing, rotation checks and equipment start-up
Support cold and hot commissioning, energisation planning, isolations, LOTO and permit requirements
Identify, investigate and rectify electrical faults, punch-list items and commissioning defects
Review drawings, schematics, cable schedules, I/O lists and vendor documents, while completing ITRs, test sheets and handover records
Work closely with engineers, vendors, operators and commissioning personnel while maintaining strict safety, quality and electrical standards
About you
Current Queensland Electrical Licence or equivalent eligibility to work in Queensland
Demonstrated commissioning experience within mining, minerals processing, industrial or major construction environments
Strong electrical testing and fault-finding capability across MCCs, switchboards, motors, VSDs and process equipment
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and commissioning documentation, with instrumentation, controls or PLC exposure highly regarded
Current CPR/LVR and Construction White Card, with Working at Heights, Confined Space and a Coal Board or MMQ Medical preferred
Solid understanding of isolations, LOTO and energisation procedures, with the ability to work safely in a fast-paced workplace
