Melbourne Truck and Vans is seeking a dynamic and customer-focusedUsed Vehicle Sales Consultant/Cadetto join our team in Preston, Victoria.
This is afull-time positionwhere you will be at the forefront of our sales operation, building relationships with customers and driving vehicle sales.
As a Used Vehicle Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in our business by identifying customer needs, showcasing our inventory, and closing sales whilst maintaining our reputation for exceptional service and integrity.
Key responsibilities
Greet and engage potential customers, understanding their vehicle requirements and budget constraints
Conduct thorough product demonstrations and highlight the features and benefits of our used vehicles
Provide expert advice on vehicle specifications, maintenance history, warranty options and financing opportunities
Prepare and present quotations and negotiate terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
Complete all necessary documentation and administrative requirements associated with vehicle sales
Build and maintain a strong customer database, following up with leads and previous customers
Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure excellent customer service and repeat business
Stay informed about current inventory, pricing and market conditions to provide accurate information
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself with integrity at all times
What we're looking for
Proven experience in vehicle sales, retail sales or a similar customer-facing sales role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse customers




Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and match them to appropriate solutions
Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Knowledge of the automotive industry, including vehicle specifications, features and financing options (desirable)
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent organisational and time management skills to juggle multiple customer enquiries
Valid driver's licence and ability to demonstrate vehicles on test drives
Proficiency with computer systems and CRM software (training provided)
