Field Sales Representative - Cheese & Specialty Food
Gippsland Cheese is a wholesaler and distributor of specialty cheese and cheese accompaniments.
Our heritage is from Gippsland however we've relocated to Keysborough in **** and have experienced robust growth.
We also have built a specialty food service offer of primarily imported food products from Italy and Spain that has resulted in consistent success.
We require an energetic, engaging and food knowledgeable team member to assist with collecting customer orders and merchandising our product in stores, as we continue through our next phase of growth.
This role is currently advertised at part time 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday.
The main duties of this role are:
Visiting our high touch customers and collecting their customer orders for same week delivery;
Merchandising our products in store so that they are professionally well presented;
Conduct product tastings / samplings and assist with sales development through marketing and running sampling programs;
A safe driving record as you have the use of a company owned vehicle.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in specialty food and using online ordering tools to place customer orders.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.




Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the specialty food industry.
Experience must be specifically in sales or business development within the specialty food sector.
A branded field sales vehicle and maintenance are part of the package of this role.

Energetic and engaging, and prepared to go the extra mile in keeping customers engaged with our business;
Good foundational knowledge of specialty food product;
Intermediate level knowledge of specialty food products is essential;
Be comfortable being, primarily, out on the road attending customer stores;
Have a current drivers license, a clear Police check and good working knowledge of Melbourne suburbs;
Must hold a current Victorian driver's licence;
Be able to coordinate their own work, with direction, and show personal initiative to complete tasks;
Have a positive attitude and a desire to be a valued team member of a great small business team.
We're a growing business and this role will suit the right candidate looking for an exciting and rewarding challenge.
Although listed as part time, the successful candidate may transition to full time over an agreed timeline.
