There is another way to practise perioperative nursing. No nights. No on-call. No weekend rosters. Just good, compelling clinical work in a well-equipped private theatre with a team that actually likes coming to work.

The Role

Contemporary, well-equipped private day surgery covering ophthalmology, endoscopy, IVF, gynaecology, urology, dental and minor orthopaedics. You will rotate across scrub, scout and recovery as required. Anaesthetic nursing experience is a bonus and will be well used. In office CSSD, specialist surgical lighting and contemporary instrumentation throughout.

Lists run Monday to Friday from approximately 7:00 am. No overnight patients, no weekend shifts. Pay is $43 to $57 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience.

What We Need
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration




Perioperative experience across scrub, scout and recovery
Anaesthetic nursing experience preferred
Comfortable rotating across multiple theatre roles in a small team
Flexible around list finish times
Ready for a change of pace and open to regional Queensland

The Location

Mackay is the gateway to the Whitsundays. Reef, islands, open water and a pace of life that most metro nurses find takes some adjustment, in the best possible way. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
