In December ****, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network.
Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions.
HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees.

As an AOD Registered Nurse, you'll play a critical role in delivering holistic, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
In this role, you will:
As an AOD Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing person-centred, high-quality, and safe care to individuals in detention with alcohol and other drug-related needs.
You will conduct comprehensive AOD assessments, develop and implement care plans, deliver brief interventions,



support withdrawal management, and monitor progress.
This is a great opportunity to work across a range of AOD services, including harm reduction, health promotion, medication administration, and psychoeducation.
You'll be delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a trauma-informed environment that respects the rights, culture, and dignity of every individual.
Let's talk about you!
You will be anAHPRA-registered Nurse(General, unrestricted registration) with either aminimum of five (5) years' experience as a Registered Nurse in AOD(non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health.
OR
You will be anAHPRA-registered Nurse(General, unrestricted registration) with eitheraminimum of seven (7) years' experience as a AODRegistered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification.
