Relationship Manager (Industry Engagement) Broadacre cropping/Livestock farming

Our team thrives on openness, trust, and respect – and we're now looking for someone who shares these values to join our team in a fixed -term Parental Leave cover capacity for approximately ***** months to continue to drive Stakeholder Engagement and enable the capture and translation of Stakeholder feedback into tangible insights that the organisation can use to drive outcomes.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Oversight of Broadacre cropping and Livestock farming sectors.
Maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders across allocated industries, including unions, employers, peak bodies, regulators, training providers, government agencies and other sector representatives.
Engage key stakeholder organisations and influential individuals to strengthen industry participation and long-term support for Skills Insight activities and priorities.
Maintain regular stakeholder contact and proactively identify, escape and where appropriate assist to resolve issues that may impact stakeholder relationships or organisational outcomes.
Support the development of stakeholder partnerships, endorsements and letters of support for projects, grant applications, submissions and other strategic activities.
Contribute to the cross-industry Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) program and coordinate IAP for designated sectors, with support from the Engagement & Strategy Lead and Executive Director,
ensuring operation in accordance with organisational requirements and approved terms of reference.
Represent Skills Insight professionally at meetings, conferences (including delivering presentations), forums, workshops and industry events.
Apply and uphold the tripartite principles of the Jobs and Skills Council program across stakeholder engagement, consultation and project activities.
Build and maintain a strong understanding of relevant employer bodies, unions, professional associations and sector stakeholders within allocated industries.
Support balanced, collaborative and evidence-informed engagement processes that reflect the perspectives of industry, workforce and government stakeholders.
Ensure activities, consultation approaches and stakeholder interactions are delivered in a manner consistent with the intent, expectations and integrity of the Jobs and Skills Council model.
Contribute to constructive stakeholder relationships that support trust, transparency and effective sector collaboration across Skills Insight activities.
You will bring specific experience in:
Stakeholder engagement and associated supporting documentation/CRM Tracking etc.
Having lead and participated in complex projects where stakeholder engagement played a key role
Experience with stakeholder (external) surveys and implementation of initiatives to improve stakeholder satisfaction
Writing and publishing internal and external based reports E.g. contributions to board reporting
Presenting at and representing an organisation at industry-based events
We're looking for someone whose profile is matched to the following characteristics and experience:
Vocational Education & Training systems and skills policy environment– You have experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector and enjoy working within that environment including within its policies and guidelines.
Highly developed stakeholder engagement– Solid relationship management and facilitation skills coupled with strong and open communication to build trust.
Excellent verbal and written skills– Including the ability to prepare high-quality reports, briefings and consultation documentation, and represent the organisation professionally at conferences, meetings, forums, and consultation activities.
Strong analytical capability– Including the ability to gather, interpret and synthesise industry intelligence and stakeholder insights to support strategic and operational activities.
Strong organisational skills– Attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple activities while maintaining accurate records and documentation
Strong digital literacy– You are experienced in and digitally driven, with the ability to ensure documentation is upkept and records are kept accurately and in a timely fashion, you are a strong CRM user and use technology for efficiency and to further enable the role.
Strong professional acumen– Sound judgement, professionalism and emotional intelligence, including the ability to navigate sensitive stakeholder environments with discretion and diplomacy.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams –With strong communication and proactivity to contribute effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment
