Join the Corporate Bookkeeping function within a global mid‐tier accounting and advisory firm in a senior, client‐facing role. With new leadership and a growing client base, we're looking for an experienced bookkeeper who can take ownership of client outcomes, contribute to team culture and develop their technical depth in a CA accountant‐led advisory environment.
With your own portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate, compliant and timely outsourced finance function. You will work closely with our Business Advisory, Family Office and Tax teams and hold accountability for the quality of work delivered.
Job Requirements
5+ years' experience in a senior bookkeeping or similar role
Completion of a recognised bookkeeping or accounting qualification
Experience with MYOB advantageous
Sound knowledge of Australian compliance requirements (BAS, STP, payroll, superannuation, WorkCover)
Experience reviewing work completed by others, including offshore teams (advantageous)
Confidence liaising with clients and accountants
Strong attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines
Job Responsibilities
Managing end to end bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Managing the Accounts Payable (AP) process for clients
Managing the Accounts Receivable (AR)
process for clients, including debtor follow up and cashflow forecasting
Preparation of bank, debtor, creditor, wages, payroll tax and PAYG reconciliations
Reconciling intercompany transactions and loan accountsPreparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and cashflow reporting
Preparing cashflow forecasts and budgets for clients where required
Setting up recent clients and maintaining charts of accounts using accounting software (including Xero and MYOB)
Assisting clients with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of their accounting systems and processes
