What you'll do
Oversee the daily operations of the wellness center, ensuring that all services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Coordinate wellness programs and initiatives that promote physical and mental health within the community.
Manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to enhance their skills and performance.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Develop and implement health education workshops and seminars aimed at increasing community awareness of wellness topics.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs, making adjustments as necessary to meet the needs of the community.
Collaborate with local healthcare providers and organizations to create partnerships that enhance service delivery and resource sharing.
Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, program participation, and other relevant data to support reporting and compliance efforts.
Ensure that the wellness center adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe setting for staff and clients.
Assist in budgeting and financial management for the wellness center, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet program goals.
Participate in community outreach efforts to promote the wellness center and its services, engaging with local residents and stakeholders.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in wellness and healthcare, integrating new knowledge into center operations.
Requirements
Valid paramedic certification and a minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medical services or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within a healthcare or wellness setting.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships with clients and team members.
Knowledge of health and wellness principles, as well as experience in program development and evaluation.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records systems.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet the needs of the community.
Nice to have
Experience in community health outreach or public health initiatives.
Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising efforts to support wellness programs.
Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Bahamian Creole, to better serve the diverse community.
Certification in CPR and First Aid, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
