About The Business
A boutique financial planning practice providing advice across superannuation, retirement planning, insurance, wealth creation, estate planning and aged care.
This long‐standing business has a loyal client base, and the senior advisory team is now seeking additional support as they increase their focus on new business development.
About the Role
As a Review Adviser, you'll drive the client review process.
This means reviewing client financial situations, conducting face to face meetings, strengthen long‐term relationships, and support Senior Advisers in delivering high‐quality financial advice.
You'll uncover new advice opportunities, present strategies with confidence, and ensure clients feel informed and supported.
This role suits someone proactive, detail‐driven and collaborative, who enjoys client interaction and wants to grow within a boutique advice team.
Responsibilities include:
Review Meetings
Prepare for, and conduct review meetings, and discuss financial position, goals, and objectives of the client
Identify changes in circumstance, and opportunities for advice
Present and explain Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) to clients
Discuss and educate clients on strategy recommendations, including risks, benefits, costs,
and implementation requirements
Answer client questions and ensure client's comfort with the advice provided
Managing work in progress by coordinating and prioritising with team members
Stay up to date with regulatory changes and market conditions
Participate in team meetings and make an active contribution to the overall growth and success of the firm
Maintain the systems so that client records and documentation are accurate
Be proactive in terms of adviser and client communication and ensure an impeccable service is delivered to clients
Review and quality-check ROAs and SOAs produced from Paraplanning team
Demonstrated leadership skills through effectively coordinating workflows, supporting team members, and managing competing priorities
Proven ability to take initiative, solve problems proactively, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism
Skills
Minimum 5 years' experience in the financial planning industry
Familiar with Xplan or the ability to learn quickly
Comfort with delivering client presentations
Sound knowledge across a broad range of strategies
Curious, logical and procedural disposition
Excellent accuracy and high attention to detail
Analytical mindset with a proactive and efficient approach
Ability to work extremely well in a fast-paced and often deadline driven environment
Tertiary or post-graduate degree in Financial Planning
