About the role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this newly created leadership role will establish and lead Swinburne's enterprise workforce compliance, monitoring and assurance function.
You'll shape the strategy, governance and operating model that ensures workforce risks are proactively managed, and compliance practices are embedded across the University.
Working closely with senior leaders across People & Culture, Finance, Legal, Risk and Internal Audit, you'll provide expert advice, oversee complex compliance matters and drive sustainable remediation and continuous improvement.
A key focus of the role will be bringing people on the journey through education, capability building and practical support to strengthen compliance practices and prevent recurrence.
In this role, you will:
Lead the University's workforce compliance strategy.
Embed an enterprise-wide compliance and assurance framework.
Advise executives on workforce compliance and risk.
Oversee complex compliance and remediation matters.
Drive continuous improvement across workforce governance.
About you
You're an experienced compliance leader who thrives in complex environments and brings strong judgement, influence and expertise in workforce governance.
You'll bring:
Extensive experience in workforce compliance or governance.
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and industrial relations.
Experience leading enterprise compliance or risk frameworks.
A track record of leading organisational change.
Qualifications
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in law,
industrial relations, human resources, governance, risk or a related discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
