Male Disability Support Worker - Wyndham Vale/Melton
SymCare is seeking highly experienced, compassionate and motivated casual Male Support Workers to join our SIL teams.
Current vacancies exist inWyndham Vale/ Melton and nearby Western suburbs.
We are in search of individuals who possess both empathy and extensive experience in providing support to those facing mental health challenges, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviours.
Our ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in trauma-informed care, conflict resolution and the implementation of positive behaviour support plans.

Responsibilities
Providing complex care and support to our participants, including those with challenging behaviours of concern
Performing domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
Transportation
Behaviour and Mental Health Support
Implementing BSP strategies when needed
Effective management of challenging situations
General record keeping and report writing
Requirements
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Minimum Cert IV in Disability or higher qualification in the relevant field
Minimum 2 years' experience in complex behavioural support




Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Working with Children Card
Full COVID-19 vaccinations (proof from MyGov)
Proven ability to connect and engage with participants and deliver outcomes-focused, person-centred active support.
Demonstrates personal integrity, courage and a commitment to service excellence.

Flexible availability and capacity to work regular shifts across a 24-hour, 7-day week roster
