We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to establish and lead the legal function within Anaman in a part-time capacity (3–4 days per week).
This is a key leadership role supporting the business across contracts, risk, compliance and governance in a fast-paced, project-driven workplace. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice, while shaping a scalable legal framework for a growing business.
This role offers flexibility while maintaining exposure to strategic, end-to-end legal work
About the Role
Provide strategic and day to day legal advice across the business
Draft, review and negotiate commercial, client and supplier contracts
Support major projects, tenders and commercial negotiations
Establish and maintain legal, risk and compliance frameworks
Advise on disputes, risk management and regulatory obligations
Build fit for purpose governance, policies and processes
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders,



balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes
About You
You are a commercially astute legal professional who is comfortable operating in a standalone capacity and influencing at a senior level.
Admission as a lawyer in Queensland with an unrestricted practising certificate
7 or more years post-qualification experience in-house or large firm
Strong experience in commercial, construction, infrastructure or resources environments
Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders
Pragmatic, solutions focused approach
Comfortable balancing strategic input with hands on delivery
