About the Role
As the Early Childhood Student Success Coach, you will provide personalised coaching, mentoring and educational support to students enrolled in the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care programs. Working closely with students, teachers and support services, you will identify barriers to learning, develop Individual Learning Plans, and empower students to successfully complete their studies and transition into further education, training or employment. You will play a key role in enhancing student engagement, retention and success while contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning setting.

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Demonstrated experience in related work and study assistance including; vocational assistance, study support, recruitment, career guidance and employment services.
A proven record of managing customer enquiries and a demonstrated commitment to customer service including follow up and closure activities.
Demonstrated ability to engage and build trust with diverse cohorts and DET Community Services specified high priority groups (e.g. youth, migrants, unemployed, retrenched workers and/or apprentices)




Ability to exercise substantial initiative and sound judgement and to work independently to meet position objectives consistent with the University's.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders that include employers, educational institutions and community service providers

Qualifications
A post graduate degree or vocational qualification in Early Childhood Education and subsequent experience in the Early Childhood Education sector.
A post graduate degree or vocational qualification in Career Counselling, Community Services, Vocational Training and Assessment with subsequent relevant experience; extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or knowledge of the VET sector, is desirable
