The Head of Legal will work closely with the Executive, Council, internal teams, external legal providers, and sector partners to build trusted relationships and provide robust legal advice. A strategic and practical approach is essential, as is the ability to anticipate emerging issues and support the organization in navigating legal, operational, workforce, community, and Council considerations.



Applicants for the Head of Legal Services position at the company must be admitted to practice as a solicitor in Victoria and hold a current Certificate of Practice.
The role requires broad legal experience, with a preference for those who have worked in a complex regulatory environment, such as local government. The ideal candidate will be a credible advisor, known for their sound judgment, political awareness, and ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly.
