Overview
This is your prospect to bring differentiated Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard products and workflow solutions to help our customers increase their productivity and optimize their analytical workflows. As a member of this high‐performing team, you will provide leadership to the product marketing group whose mission is to further advance the success of Agilent's spectroscopy and chemical standard consumables within highly competitive markets. You will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the product portfolio and execution of go‐to‐market strategies developed within your team. The role requires a leader with strong interpersonal skills who can coach the team and collaborate with peers across a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities
Overall pricing strategy, product messaging, positioning and configuration to ensure optimum financial performance and completion of business goals
Managing a team of product managers responsible for Agilent's full portfolio of Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard consumables
Managing a team of application scientists to develop key data proofs and application collateral to support product commercialization and to maintain scientific presence in the scientific community
Working with the Chemistries & Supplies R&D; teams to effectively meet new product introduction timelines and goals
Managing market research, competitive analysis and voice of customer projects to define trends and strategically evaluate new market opportunities where Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard can enhance customer workflows
Partnering with cross‐functional leaders within Agilent including marketing, engineering, application development, manufacturing,
and sales to achieve business objectives
Working with marketing communications professionals to develop the global plan for lead generation programs for the Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard consumables
Leading the product management team to develop an overall sales training program that enables the sales team to clearly position Agilent's Spectroscopy and Chemical Standard solutions and convey their benefits to customers
Working with peers in Agilent's worldwide sales organization to manage and drive the sales funnel and forecasts to ensure performance against financial goals for your product lines
Creating and delivering presentations at conferences, workshops, and customer sites
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, Masters or Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or a related discipline; 5‐10 years product management experience highly desired
Typically, 3 to 5 years practical experience with Agilent Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard consumables and applications preferred
Experience with Product Management/Marketing of Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard consumables in the applied markets; knowledge of Agilent Spectroscopy & Chemical Standard consumables is highly desirable and a clear understanding of customer workflows and applications within these markets is essential
Excellent people skills and interpersonal skills; ability to coach and advocate for team members; proven track record of setting measurable and achievable goals and achieving them
Strong organizational skills; ability to set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines and deliver to commitments
Demonstrated use of marketing skills and market knowledge to define and commercialize products that result in business success
Proven ability to work collaboratively with sales and marketing professionals across the organization to develop effective market strategies and programs that meet revenue forecasts and growth targets
Experience working with worldwide customers and a strong internal advocate for customer‐focused solutions and application‐driven development
Must exhibit strategic thinking, teamwork, creativity, planning and execution skills backed by solid analytical and decision‐making
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills; ability to convey Agilent's product solution vision and market strategy to internal and external partners
Additional Information
Full‐time weekly schedule with the option to work remotely. The role requires approximately 25% travel and is performed during daytime hours. The primary job function is Marketing.
