About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Facilities Integrity Engineerto join our Distribution Operations team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Manager Integrity, Distribution Operations, you will provide specialist engineering expertise that supports the integrity, safety and reliability of AGIG's critical facilities assets.
Key Responsibilities
Champion the integrity, safety, reliability and compliance of AGIG's facility assets throughout their lifecycle.
Lead integrity engineering activities, including defect assessments, technical investigations, failure analysis and fitness-for-service evaluations, delivering practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
Support and sponsor facility integrity projects through capital planning, business case development, risk assessments, optioneering studies and technical scope development.




Undertake engineering reviews and technical assessments in accordance with Safety Case requirements, Australian Standards (including AS**** and AS****) and AGIG engineering governance.
Build strong relationships across operations, maintenance and project teams to deliver nationally consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.
Proactively identify integrity risks, develop effective mitigation strategies and support timely implementation to enhance asset performance and reliability.
Contribute to continuous improvement by maintaining engineering processes, governance and documentation that support safe, efficient and sustainable operations.
About You
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
At least 10 years' experience in engineering, asset integrity or operational environments, ideally within the energy, utilities or process industries.
Experience working with pressure vessels, pressure reducing systems, pressure safety valves, water bath heaters and above-ground piping.
Strong knowledge of asset integrity principles, defect assessment methodologies and repair strategies for static equipment.
Working knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS****** and AS****, together with engineering governance and regulatory compliance requirements.
Registered Professional Engineer status (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain professional registration.
A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships while balancing technical excellence with practical outcomes.
