Operations Manager | Building Services & High-Rise Maintenance
Are you an experienced Operations Manager who enjoys leading teams, building client relationships and ensuring projects run safely and efficiently?
An established and growing building services business is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across a portfolio of high-profile commercial and residential assets throughout Melbourne.
This is a hands‐on leadership role offering the opportunity to manage large field-based teams, work with premium property clients and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
The Opportunity Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of maintenance and access services across multiple sites throughout Melbourne.
You'll lead a workforce of approximately ***** field staff, manage client relationships, drive safety and quality outcomes, and support the ongoing improvement of systems, processes and business performance.
No two days are the same, with a mix of client meetings, site visits, team management and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily operations across multiple active sites
Manage and support a team of ***** field-based employees
Maintain strong relationships with key commercial property clients
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Conduct regular site inspections across Melbourne CBD and surrounding areas
Oversee workforce planning, scheduling and resource allocation
Drive safety compliance, quality assurance and operational best practice
Assist with process improvements, policy implementation and business performance initiatives




Collaborate closely with leadership to support business growth
About You
Proven experience leading operational teams in a service, construction or trade-based environment
Strong people management and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, sites and priorities simultaneously
Sound understanding of safety, risk management and OH&S; requirements
Commercial awareness with an understanding of project performance and profitability
Confident communicator who can build lasting client relationships
A practical, hands-on leader who enjoys being out on site
Experience within facilities management, building maintenance, façade, remedial, access, cleaning, construction services or similar environments will be highly regarded, however personality, leadership style and cultural fit are equally key.

$110,000 - $120,000 base plus super
Fully maintained vehicle
Additional paid Saturday work available
Opportunity to earn an additional $12,000 - $30,000+ per year through overtime
