Stretton State College Helping Hands
,is looking for a passionate
Assistant Coordinator
to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children.
This is a
permanent part-time
opportunity offering
20 hours per week
toassist with leading a team of passionate Educators.You'll work Monday to Friday in split shifts across our programs:
Rise then Shine Program – Morning shifts (6:15am – 9:00am)
Stay and Play Program – Afternoon shifts (2:00pm – 6:15pm)

About your new role




As an Assistant Coordinator, you'll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after‐school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
Design and help lead a vibrant, child‐centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
Assist withrosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager,so you're never doing it alone.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact
Communicates clearly and confidently
Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role
Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
