We have an exciting chance for an Apprentice & Employment Consultant to join the team at AGA, part of the IntoWork Group. Based across various Victorian locations, this role is ideal for a motivated, people-focused professional who is passionate about apprenticeships, workforce development, and building strong employer partnerships.

About the role
The Apprentice & Employment Consultant role is central to the success of AGA's apprenticeship and traineeship programs. You will manage a caseload of apprentices and trainees while working closely with host employers to create, sustain, and grow meaningful employment opportunities.
Sitting within the Apprentice & Employment Services team and reporting to the AES Coordinator, you will combine business development, mentoring, and operational excellence to achieve strong outcomes across retention, completion, and compliance.
As the Apprentice & Employment Consultant, you will:
Generate and manage apprenticeship and traineeship placements with new and existing host employers
Mentor, support, and engage apprentices and trainees throughout their employment lifecycle
Actively manage caseload performance, including recruitment, retention, completion, and placement targets
Build strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and key stakeholders
Identify host business needs and promote AGA services and solutions
Monitor apprentice and trainee attendance, performance, and welfare in collaboration with RTO teams
Manage downtime and rotation of apprentices and trainees to maximise productivity
Support workplace health and safety initiatives and ensure safe systems of work
Assist with reporting, operational improvements, and business development activities
Contribute to projects, recruitment activity, and community or industry engagement as required
About you
We are seeking a proactive and people-oriented individual with the following background and attributes:
Experience employing, supervising, or mentoring apprentices and trainees
Sound understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to do business development
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
Excellent organisation, time management, and case management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
A genuine passion for supporting young people in the workplace
Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. The successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain:
Current Working with Children Check (Employment)
National Police Check
Valid Driver's Licence
