As our Defence and Aerospace business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join our highly skilled manufacturing team at our Cheltenham facility.

The Opportunity
This is not a high-volume production role.
You will be machining complex, high-value components where quality, precision and craftsmanship are paramount. Every component matters, and every micron counts.
Working alongside experienced engineers, programmers, quality specialists and fellow tradespeople, you'll be part of a collaborative team committed to producing work of the highest standard.
Your Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machining centres, lathes or horizontal borers.
Manufacture complex aerospace and defence components to exact specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
Measure components using precision metrology equipment.




Maintain exceptional standards of accuracy and workmanship.
Work closely with programmers, engineers and quality personnel.
Contribute to a safe, organised and professional workshop environment.
About You
Trade qualification in Engineering (Fitter & Turner, Machinist or equivalent).
Experience operating CNC machining centres, lathes and/or horizontal borers.
Strong understanding of machining practices and tooling.
Ability to work to very tight tolerances.
Excellent ability to read engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Solid attention to detail.
A quality-first mindset.
A positive attitude and willingness to support your teammates.
Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Medical or other high-precision manufacturing is highly regarded.
