Kool Kidz Merrifield is seeking an experienced, passionate and inspiring
Service Manager / Nominated Supervisor
to lead our well-established early learning service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for children, families and educators. You will be supported by an experienced team, a dedicated out-of-ratio, full-time Educational Leader and a receptionist, as well as our Central support team, allowing you to focus on leading a positive culture, supporting your team and driving continuous improvement.

As the Service Manager, you will provide leadership across all aspects of the service, ensuring compliance, operational excellence and a culture where children, families and educators can thrive.
About the Role
As our Service Manager, you will:
Lead, mentor and inspire a team of passionate educators.
Foster a positive, collaborative and respectful workplace culture.
Support and guide educators to deliver high-quality educational programs and practices.
Ensure the service consistently meets all legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.
Drive continuous quality improvement aligned with the National Quality Framework.
Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to support curriculum excellence and professional development.
Build and maintain robust, trusting relationships with children, families and the wider community.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring a safe, welcoming and engaging environment.
Facilitate team meetings and promote open communication and continuous learning.




Champion best practice while supporting the ongoing success and growth of the service.
About You
You will bring:
Extensive experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Previous leadership experience as a Service Manager, Centre Manager, Assistant Manager or similar leadership role.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard.
Sound knowledge of the Victorian Child Secure Standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence managing multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and positive approach.
Strong computer literacy, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor and OWNA experience is advantageous).
Approved Early Childhood qualification (minimum Diploma).
Current Working with Children Check (or VIT Registration).
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
Current Child Protection training.
Current Police Check (within 6 months)
Current Driver Licence.
Willingness to accept the Nominated Supervisor role.
