About the Firm & Team
Our client is a major corporate law. Their Competition and Regulation practice is experiencing exceptional demand.
Led by an industry leading partner, this team advises major domestic and multinational corporates, private capital firms, and institutional investors on high-stakes antitrust issues.
The Opportunity
The team is looking to secure a driven Lawyer(approx. 2–7 years PQE) to step into a key position within this tight‐knit, high‐performing practice group. Because you will be supporting a growing practice, you will get immediate, direct client exposure and hands‐on exposure to matters.
Your daily practice will span the full spectrum of competition law, including:
Merger Control
: Securing clearances for complex, contentious, and cross‐border M&A; transactions.
Investigations & Enforcement
: Navigating high‐stakes ACCC antitrust and cartel investigations.
Regulatory Advice
:
Guiding clients through regulated infrastructure, third‐party access regimes, and consumer law compliance.
Drafting
: Preparing detailed submissions to the ACCC, advising boards on antitrust risk.
Litigation:
defending breaches of competition & antitrust laws in the Federal Court of Australia.
About You
This role requires a lawyer who combines technical excellence with sharp commercial acumen. You will bring:
2 to 7+ years of PQE
specialising in competition, antitrust, or regulatory law within a reputable commercial firm or regulatory body (e.g., ACCC).
Strong analytical and drafting skills
with the ability to translate complex economic concepts into practical legal solutions.
A collaborative mindset
with a sense of humour and an appreciation for a workplace which is supportive and inclusive.
Ambition
