About the Role
This role is responsible for developing, leading, and executing sourcing plans and activities, based on research and analysis to optimize value-for-money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations. You will also assist in the management of a team of procurement staff to deliver procurement outcomes.

Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Senior Category Manager ICT you will:
Develop, lead and execute category plans and sourcing strategies based on research and analysis to optimise value for money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
Lead negotiations on high impact, complex supply arrangements and contract issues to deliver better category outcomes.
Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement and the procurement category, to encourage cutting-edge practices and support delivery of business and policy directions.
Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems and performance management frameworks for all procurement related activity to ensure a high level of professional practice and deliver compliant, effective and efficient procurement outcomes.




Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes.
Assist in the management of procurement staff to successfully deliver procurement business plans and achieve optimal outcomes from procurement activity.
Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in ICT procurement and knowledge of software, hardware, telecommunications, cloud and managed services
Proven success developing and implementing category strategies
Experience leading complex, high-value sourcing and tender processes across large enterprises
Strong contract negotiation and vendor management experience
Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship building skills
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing procurement or category management teams
