An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated Nurse Manager to join the Staffing and Allocations team at Nepean Hospital in a Temporary Full-Time role.
This leadership role is integral to ensuring the effective coordination and allocation of Nursing resources across the Hospital, supporting safe, high-quality patient care through strategic workforce management. You will work collaboratively with Nursing Leaders, Operational Managers and Multidisciplinary teams to optimise staffing, respond to changing clinical demands, and promote efficient workforce utilisation.
As the Nurse Manager, Staffing & Allocations,



you will provide operational leadership for the Staffing and Allocations service, coordinate and manage the allocation of Nursing staff to meet clinical service demands, monitor staffing requirements and implement strategies to support safe staffing levels, lead and support the Staffing and Allocations team, fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing workplace culture and utilise workforce management systems and data to inform staffing decisions and improve service delivery. This is a role that will see you build strong relationships with Nurse Unit Managers, After Hours Nurse Managers and Executive Stakeholders to ensure responsive workforce planning.
You will bring to this role strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret workforce data, exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to continuous improvement, staff wellbeing and excellence in patient care.

What you will bring to the role
Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Relevant Tertiary Qualification or working towards the same, or combination of study and work experience as deemed relevant by the organisation
Broad clinical and operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational and professional outcomes
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a management team
Computer literacy, including recent experience with HealthRoster
Demonstrated highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and leadership and management skills with proven success in improving efficiencies, setting priorities, working in a high volume high demand setting and role, and established and achieving agreed objectives
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
