We are an established Victorian transport company seeking an experienced and dependable HR / HC Truck Driver to join our operation under a subcontractor arrangement.
This opportunity would suit an experienced qualified driver who operates through their own Pty Ltd company, takes pride in their work and is committed to providing safe, reliable and professional transport services.
About the Opportunity
You will undertake transport work throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria as required. The role will involve operating heavy combination and tilt-tray equipment, safely loading and unloading freight, completing required documentation and communicating professionally with customers, dispatch and site personnel.
A generous percentage-based remuneration package will be offered to the successful contractor, with the percentage, applicable revenue and payment arrangements clearly documented in a written subcontractor agreement.
Key Responsibilities
Complete transport jobs throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria
Safely operate HC/HR and tilt-tray equipment
Load, restrain, transport and unload vehicles, machinery or freight
Conduct pre-start inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Complete delivery paperwork, photographs and electronic job records
Comply with fatigue-management, load-restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Maintain professional communication with customers and company representatives




Represent both businesses in a reliable and professional manner
Applicants must have
A current and valid Australian HC or HR driver licence
Demonstrated tilt-tray driving and loading experience
Their own registered Pty Ltd company
A current ABN and capacity to issue valid tax invoices
Full Australian working rights
A strong understanding of load restraint and heavy-vehicle safety requirements
A good driving history
Excellent reliability, communication and time-management skills
Willingness and availability to work throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria as required
Appropriate business and insurance arrangements relevant to the contracted services
Highly Regarded
Experience transporting vehicles, machinery, equipment or oversized loads
Familiarity with Melbourne, Victorian regional areas and major industrial sites
Relevant fatigue-management or Chain of Responsibility training
Construction industry experience or a current White Card
Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy vehicles
