The Role:
Grade 2 casual dietitian. You will be responsible for the provision of high-quality nutritional care to paediatric patients and their families within the inpatient and outpatient setting. This role does not include weekend work. As a casual dietitian, the shifts will be intermittent and workload will vary depending the vacancy that requires covering. Acute paediatric inpatient experience across a wide variety of areas is required. This position is supported by a large and highly skilled team, with structured onboarding, supervision, and ability to participate in departmental professional development opportunities. Classification for this position with range from AJ1 - AJ4 Grade 2, Year 1 to Grade 2, Year 4 ($*****-$*****/hour + 25% casual loading).
What You'll Achieve:
Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective
Provide nutritional care to paediatric patients (inpatients and outpatients) and nutritional support across a variety of specialist/medical units
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including food service and formula room staff, to ensure patient and ward needs are addressed effectively
Your Skills and Experience:
Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians Australia
Eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
Acute paediatric dietetic experience – minimum 2 years
About The Department:
The Department of Nutrition and Food Services at The Royal Children's Hospital incorporates the clinical dietetic service, the Main Kitchen that caters for inpatient meals and the Central Formula Room that produces formula, enteral feeds and fortifies expressed breast milk to meet the nutritional needs of patients. The Department is also a registered NDIS provider.
