Guest Service Agent (Casual)
Bayside Geelong Hotel & Apartments is one of Geelong's leading accommodation destinations, offering 110 hotel rooms and apartments, Franca's Ristorante, conference and event facilities, fitness centre, pool and sauna facilities, all conveniently located on the Geelong waterfront.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Service Agent to join our team on a casual basis. This is a dynamic, multi-skilled role that combines Front Office Reception and a little Food & Beverage service, providing variety and the opportunity to create exceptional guest experiences every day.
About the Role
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service across all guest touchpoints. You'll ensure every guest enjoys a warm welcome, seamless stay, and memorable departure while supporting the hotel's revenue goals through upselling and guest engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Welcome, check in and check out guests efficiently and professionally
Deliver exceptional customer service
Respond to guest enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Maintain high presentation standards throughout the property
Reservations




Manage reservations within the Property Management System (PMS)
Process payments, charges and invoices accurately
Complete daily operational tasks
About You
You are passionate about hospitality and thrive in a rapid-paced environment. You enjoy interacting with people, can remain calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering exceptional service.
Essential Requirements
Current RSA Certificate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service focus
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Intermediate Microsoft Office 365 skills
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in hotel reception, hospitality or guest services
Experience with Opera Cloud PMS or similar hotel management systems
Certificate III in Hospitality
First Aid Certificate
Current Police Check
